The
Lunar Connection
The moon has always fascinated me. Each month, I am thrilled by the full
moon, especially knowing that it rises as the sun sets. Then I eagerly
wait for the waxing crescent moon to appear, reminding me of rebirth.
The moth and the hare are thought of as nocturnal creatures, widely associated
with the moon, and are two of my favorite beings to watch. The moth is
drawn to the light as the soul is drawn to divine truth. The hare, in
some myths, has been portrayed as dancing with the moon, celebrating the
mother in springtime. Together with the river, they symbolize the never-ending
flow of time. This feeds my feelings of hope.
