The Spiritual Scrolls

Years ago, I saw an exhibit called "Art That Heals" on Ethiopian healing scrolls. For centuries, the shamans and priests in Ethiopia have created scrolls for individuals in need of healing or protection. Each scroll measures at least the height of that person and contains symbols, holy images and prayers for the person in need. The scroll is then used as a vehicle for prayer and as a tool for wellness.
